ARLINGTON, Va. — NASCUS President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney was recently elected to serve as President-elect of Women in Housing and Finance (WHF).
Established in 1979, WHF is an association of women and men who actively promote women in the fields of financial services and housing through professional enrichment and leadership enhancement. Its members include professionals and executives from the private and public sectors, including corporations, financial institutions, regulatory agencies, government sponsored enterprises, Congressional staff, associations, law firms and non-profits.
“To serve as President-elect of WHF is a great honor,” said Fortney. “I look forward to representing WHF as President-elect and contributing to its important work to promote women in the fields of housing and finance.”
Fortney has been actively involved with WHF for more than seven years. She most recently served as the association’s Vice Chair. Prior to that role, she was the Treasurer for the WHF Foundation Board of Directors. Fortney also served on the WHF Board of Directors from June 2003-2005.
