ARLINGTON, Va. — NASCUS President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney announced several NASCUS management promotions and changes.
“NASCUS is excited to continue promoting the career development of the NASCUS management team and to provide opportunities for staff to grow with NASCUS,” said Fortney. “Our team has incredible longevity and valuable expertise that is a great benefit to our members and the state credit union system.”
Two members of the NASCUS management team have been promoted to NASCUS Senior Vice Presidents. Brian Knight, senior vice president, regulatory affairs, has worked for NASCUS since 1998. He is responsible for managing NASCUS Regulatory Affairs, analyzing state and federal statutes and researching all aspects of credit union law and practices. Barbara Pogue, senior vice president of corporate affairs and accreditation, manages NASCUS’ Accreditation Program and provides strategic direction on the association’s organizational matters. Pogue has been with NASCUS since 2001.
NASCUS management team members Jenny Champagne and Isaida Woo are now serving as NASCUS Vice Presidents. As Vice President of Regulatory Development and Education, Champagne will work on Regulatory Affairs special projects and oversee NASCUS educational programs. Champagne has been a member of the NASCUS management team in various roles since 1997. Woo, the central contact for all NASCUS Board and member activities, has been with NASCUS since 2002 and is now the Vice President, Board and Member Relations.
O’Neal Isom, Jr., promoted to Director, Administrative Services, manages the NASCUS offices in Arlington, Virginia and provides critical support to all NASCUS departments and staff. Isom joined NASCUS last summer. Last, Kate Hartig, now the Director, Communications and Public Affairs, assumes a more formal role as NASCUS external affairs liaison in addition to communications responsibilities. Hartig has worked for NASCUS since 2005.
