ARLINGTON, Va. —NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council Chairman Mendell Thompson announced that Drema Isaac, president and CEO of Central Macomb Community Credit Union, Mt. Clemens, Mich., will serve as a director on the Credit Union Executive Council.
Isaac has led Central Macomb Community Credit Union since 2002 and prior to her current role, she served in a number of key executive roles at Northland Area Federal Credit Union in Oscoda, Michigan. She is also Chairperson of the Community Reinvestment Initiatives Future Vision Committee, Vice Chairperson of the Metro East Chapter of Credit Unions and member of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Michigan Credit Union League.
“The NASCUS Credit Union Executive Council is excited to welcome Drema to the group,” said Thompson, president and CEO of America’s Christian Credit Union, Glendora, Calif. “Her informed perspective from years of involvement in local and state credit union issues will be of great benefit to our Credit Union Executive Council.”
Isaac will represent Credit Union Advisory Council District I filing the unexpired term of Mary McDonald (Genisys Credit Union formerly USA Credit Union, Troy, Mich.), who is retiring at the end of this year. Thompson made Isaac’s appointment official on November 26. Her term ends September 2010.
The Credit Union Executive Council is composed of 12 directors who govern the Credit Union Advisory Council, NASCUS’ advisory group of credit union executives and dual chartering supporters.
