3 SCHOOLS IN 3 STATES HIGHLIGHT NASCUS SEPTEMBER ED CALENDAR
Cyber security, exams, BSA and more covered in events in CT, OH and CO

ARLINGTON, VA -- Three schools in three states for credit union management, directors and volunteers focusing on cyber security basics, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, exam concerns, directors’ responsibilities and other key credit union issues will be conducted by the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) during September.

The separate sessions in the three states are open to all credit union management, directors and volunteers.

“Our education program is designed to bring regulators and credit unions together to discuss current issues and topics, including exam issues and industry trends. These sessions are terrific opportunities for credit unions and regulators to get together, consider the issues, and discuss innovative approaches and solutions,” said Lucy Ito, NASCUS president and CEO.

The three sessions are:

Sept. 14: Connecticut Cybersecurity Basics Conference for Credit Unions (Cromwell, CT)
Co-sponsored by NASCUS and the Credit Union League of Connecticut, this intensive one-day program details the basics that credit union staff, directors and volunteers must know about cybersecurity, including: cyber threats affecting critical infrastructures; threat intelligence collection and sharing; director responsibility; the FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment Tool (and how it will be used in NCUA exams). Sept. 22: Ohio Credit Union Day (Columbus)
At this 4th annual event, which has become a favorite among Ohio credit unions and is co-sponsored by NASCUS and the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions, participants will receive: an intimate briefing on the latest regarding national issues (including legislation and regulation); an economic update; insights from their state regulator; details on crucial developments in cyber security, and; breakout sessions focusing on BSA compliance, ALM and other hot topics. Sept. 22: 5th Annual NASCUS Colorado Directors' College (Denver)
Co-sponsored by NASCUS, the Colorado Division of Financial Services and the Mountain West Credit Union Association, this acclaimed, annual one-day session is the perfect opportunity for volunteers and staff to bone up on national issues affecting their credit unions and operations; Bank Security Act (BSA) requirements; interest rate risk (IRR) concerns; cyber security threats; current exam issues – and more.
