October 13, 2009 - Idaho state regulators will participate in the 2009 Idaho Conference on Housing, October 19-20 in Boise, Idaho to provide education on a variety of issues, including the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act) and foreclosure modification resources.
According to the Idaho Department of Finance, the Idaho Conference on Housing entitled “Mapping the Future” is the state’s largest and most comprehensive housing conference encompassing important issues facing Idaho’s housing industry and the challenges set forth in the current economic environment.
“This event will be invaluable to everyone who has an interest in Idaho’s housing market,” stated Gavin Gee, director of the Department in an October 13 press release. “It will be an excellent opportunity for housing representatives, private and public industry, as well as the general public to discuss emerging trends in the current housing market and to listen to experts in the field of economics and housing.”
In addition to discussion on the S.A.F.E. Act, the Department will sponsor an educational booth providing a variety of informational brochures on home mortgage loans and other valuable topics related to housing finance.
