October 6, 2009 - The NASCUS New Commissioner's Orientation will take place October 14 in conjunction with the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) New Commissioners Briefing. NASCUS holds a new commissioners orientation at least once a year.
During the orientation, NASCUS and new commissioners will meet with National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board member Gigi Hyland as well as NCUA Executive Director Dave Marquis to discuss common state and federal regulator issues. The commissioners will also hear briefings from NASCUS management on regulatory and legislative developments affecting the state credit union system.
The purpose of NASCUS’ New Commissioner’s Orientation is to provide newly appointed state credit union supervisors, deputy supervisors and directors with an opportunity to meet with federal legislative and regulatory policymakers and NASCUS staff for briefings on current credit union issues and developments.
If you have any questions about NASCUS’ New Commissioner’s Orientation program, please email Jenny Champagne at jenny@nascus.org.
