NASCUS Executive Committees Meeting in Washington This Week, Dec. 15-17

UPDATED Dec. 13, 2010 — The officers of the NASCUS Board of Directors and the Credit Union Executive Council will gather in Washington, D.C. Dec. 15-17 to discuss NASCUS organizational business and also to meet with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and others.

The NASCUS Executive Committees meet annually in December to review organizational issues and priorities for the upcoming year. Some of the meeting topics include discussion of NASCUS' supplemental capital initiative, review of pending regulatory and legislative issues and other organizational business.

The leadership will attend the NCUA Board meeting on Dec. 16, as well as meet with staff of the Senate Banking Committee. In addition, NASCUS Chairman Tom Candon and President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney will meet with former state regulator and new Federal Reserve Board Governor Sarah Bloom Raskin.
