NASCUS Board of Directors Colleges Planned for Tennessee, North Carolina and Utah

February 16, 2010 — NASCUS popular Directors College series will continue with events scheduled in Nashville, Tennessee, March 10; Greensboro, North Carolina, March 25; and Salt Lake City, Utah, April 16.

The Directors Colleges allow credit union directors along with senior credit union staff to hear first-hand about the expectations regulators have of directors. These events also provide a venue for networking and sharing their board experiences. Though the content of the college is geared toward directors, all are welcome to attend these one-day events.

Speakers to date for the Tennessee event include: Greg Gonzales, commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, who will review the regulatory expectations of a director: former NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar, covering the directors' role in CU governance, and NASCUS' Brian Knight discussing today's critical compliance areas.
