Kansas State Regulator Reconfirmed for Another Term

March 1, 2010 — John P. Smith, Administrator of the Kansas Department of Credit Unions, will continue as the head of the Kansas credit union agency for another term.

The Kansas Senate voted unanimously to approve the appointment of Smith as Administrator for another term expiring December 31, 2013. Smith has been active in NASCUS during his tenure as a state regulator, serving on the NASCUS Board and as chairman of the Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee and the Corporate Credit Union Working Group.
