Nearly 40 States Attending National Meeting with NCUA, March 7-9
March 5, 2010 Annually, state regulators and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) gather for their National Regulators Meeting for regulator-to-regulator discussion on national policy issues affecting state-chartered credit unions. This meeting will take place, March 7-9 in Nashville, Tenn.
Representatives from nearly 40 states, the NCUA Board and NCUA senior staff will participate in the meeting, focusing on examination and supervision issues for state-chartered credit unions. The meeting begins on Sunday with a NASCUS regulators only session, and continues through Monday and half-day Tuesday with joint NCUA and NASCUS meetings. The meeting will close Tuesday with the continuation of the NASCUS regulators only session.
NASCUS state regulators and NCUA meet in person several times a year, as well as by teleconference at least monthly. NASCUS state regulators and the NCUA will also meet in-person later this year during NASCUS' State System Summit, Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in San Antonio, Texas
