NASCUS Announces Consumer Compliance Schools in Texas and Washington

July 21, 2011 - In response to training requests on consumer compliance issues, NASCUS has scheduled two Consumer Compliance Schools, October 18-20, 2011, in Houston, Texas and Dec. 6-8, 2011 in Olympia, Washington.

The two-and-half day forums will provide attendees with an in-depth look at consumer compliance from an operational and examination perspective. The training will help prepare for a renewed emphasis on consumer compliance and the emergence of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Some of the topics that will be covered are: SAFE Act, Credit Card Act, Regulation CC and the Dodd-Frank Act (i.e. changes in credit bureau reporting requirements.)
