Wisconsin Regulator Appointed to NASCUS Board

June 6, 2014 Kim Santos, director of the Office of Credit Unions (OCU) at the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, has been appointed to the NASCUS Board of Directors.

Santos has been active within NASCUS for a number of years, having served on many of the Association’s committees and task forces.

Santos was appointed to the NASCUS Board to fill a vacancy created when former NASCUS Chair John Kolhoff stepped down to focus on priorities in his role as a Michigan regulator. “Kim is a respected long-time member of NASCUS and the state regulatory community, and she will be a valuable addition to our Board,” said NASCUS Chair Mike Wettrich, the Ohio credit union regulator.

Santos has been with the OCU for more than 20 years. Prior to being named the OCU’s director, she served as their deputy director.

“We congratulate Kim on her appointment to the NASCUS Board,” said NASCUS President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney. “Obviously, as the regulator with a state system the size of Wisconsin’s, Kim joins the board with a solid understanding of the diverse issues and challenges our system faces today.”
