Matz testimony shifts to Thursday (from Friday)
JULY 22, 2015 -- NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz is now scheduled to testify Thursday (instead of Friday) before the House financial institutions subcommittee. Her appearance is scheduled for 2 p.m., and follows the regular monthly meeting of the NCUA Board, which will have occurred that morning (beginning at 10).
Titled “National Credit Union Administration Operations and Budget,” the hearing had been scheduled for Friday (July 24) at 9:15 a.m. However, the House scheduled no votes on Friday – which typically limits the number of members who are in Washington to attend a hearing.
Chairman Matz is the only witness scheduled at the hearing. According to a subcommittee memo, the hearing “will give Committee members the opportunity to examine the NCUA’s operations and budget.”
The hearing is expected to be “live-streamed” on video via the web; watch the subcommittee’s web pages for more details.
