Position: Credit Union Commissioner
Credit Union Department, State of Texas

The Credit Union Commissioner serves as the Chief Executive Officer of and manages the Credit Union Department in accordance with both legislative mandates and policies established by the Credit Union Commission. The Department is authorized to have 30 employees and has an annual budget of approximately $4.1 million. The Credit Union Commissioner ensures that the Department carries out its mission cost-effectively and in compliance with all applicable laws. Other responsibilities include representing the Department with the Legislature, other state officials, the federal government and its agencies, regulated credit unions, regulators from other states, and the public; developing rules and internal procedures, managing staff recruitment, performance, and career development; and overseeing development of the annual budget and strategic plan. The Credit Union Commissioner is appointed by, reports to, and serves at the will of the Credit Union Commission.

Salaried position: Administrative Assistant

The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant.  The position supports the President/CEO as well as daily office administration functions, which include tasks related to membership, educational events and bookkeeping.  Excellent communications, organizational and project management skills are essential. The successful candidate must be well versed in Microsoft Office products and have excellent customer service skills.  Knowledge of Constant Contact, NetForum and MailChimp is preferred.

An Associates of Arts degree in Administration or a related field is preferred and a minimum of three years of experience in a corporate environment is required.
