NASCUS Event Registration Terms and Conditions
Liability and Assumption of Risk
All attendees are responsible for all hotel fees, charges, and other expenses they incur during attendance at the event unless those expenses are expressly covered by NASCUS. Attendees agree to comply with all rules and regulations governing the venue or accommodation.
While the safety and comfort of all our attendees is a priority for NASCUS, NASCUS shall not be liable for any injury or discomfort suffered by any attendee nor shall NASCUS be liable for any personal property that is lost, stolen, or damaged. Registrants and attendees acknowledge their attendance at events is voluntary and attendees assume the risk of attending and participating in events.
Food Allergies and Special Needs
NASCUS cannot guarantee accommodation for any attendee’s special needs or food allergies. NASCUS does not exercise control over the venue or third-party food and service providers and will not be liable for special needs or food allergies.
Communications from NASCUS
By registering for this event, you consent to receive information from NASCUS and our event cosponsors with regard to this and future events. To unsubscribe from NASCUS communications, tap on the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of email communications or click here to notify NASCUS.
Authority for Hotel to Share Relevant Information with NASCUS
In order to manage the NASCUS room block for this event, it may be necessary for NASCUS to review the hotel’s reservation rooming list. By registering for this event, you authorize the hotel to share information with NASCUS about your arrival, your departure, and your room rate.
Ownership of Information
Registration and attendance at an event do not convey any copyright or ownership interest in any information, product, images, or any other property, intellectual or otherwise, to registrants or attendees. NASCUS retains and reserves all rights to intellectual property and images associated with an event. NASCUS reserves the right to use images created at the event, including those with the attendees, in marketing, social media, or other NASCUS communications. NASCUS is not responsible for other attendees’ or participants’ use of your image or likeness.
Event Code of Conduct
NASCUS’s event code of conduct applies to all event participants, including attendees, speakers, vendors, service providers, and NASCUS staff. NASCUS is committed to providing a safe and harassment-free event experience for our event participants, and NASCUS will not tolerate harassment, intimidation, or disrespectful conduct directed at any event participant. Event participants will conduct themselves in a professional manner consistent with this code of conduct and in compliance with all local venue rules and laws.
Event participants violating this code of conduct may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of NASCUS.
Event Cancellation and Program Content
NASCUS takes care in the planning of the event agenda and the preparation of the speakers. However, no information presented by speakers may be deemed as legal advice or formal supervisory determination. In addition, all speakers, sessions, topics, or other agenda items are subject to change without notice. At NASCUS’ sole discretion, this event may be canceled, rescheduled, or re-located. NASCUS reserves the right to limit or cancel any individual or group registration. If NASCUS cancels an individual or group registration, NASCUS will issue a refund of the registration fee(s) paid.
Registrant Cancellation of Registration: Refund Policy
While NASCCUS understands that circumstances may arise requiring a registrant to cancel their registration, NASCUS’s contractual obligation to venues and vendors depends on accurate attendee counts, and NASCUS management of registrations represents a significant amount of administrative time. For that reason, all registrants agree to the following policy regarding refunds of registration fees:
Cancellation by Registrant Refund Policy | |
Cancelation up to 21 days prior to events | Full refund |
Cancellation between 21 and 7 days prior to the event | Partial refund with 25% administrative fee withheld |
Cancellation within 5 days of the event | Partial refund with 50% administrative fee withheld |
Substitutions of registration are allowed at any time.
