State Credit Union Executives Elected to NASCUS' Advisory Council Leadership Group

San Antonio, Texas — On October 1, three director positions on the NASCUS Credit Union Executive Council were filled by dedicated state credit union executives.

The NASCUS Credit Union Executive Council, the leadership group of the NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council, is comprised of 12 state credit union executives from around the country.

At the Credit Union Advisory Council Annual Meeting, three directors began new three-year terms. Chairman Cann also appointed Terry West, VyStar, FL, as an at-large director to serve a three-year term.

Peters has served on the Council as an at-large director since 2007, and Cann was elected to the Council in 2004. This will be Sheets' first term as a Credit Union Executive Council director. "The guidance and advice that our Credit Union Executive Council provides to NASCUS is invaluable to our mission," said NASCUS' President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney. "We are pleased to include these new perspectives to our leadership group and welcome their involvement in our efforts to protect and enhance state credit unions."
