NASCUS welcomes Harper to the NCUA Board

Arlington, Va. – The Honorable Todd M. Harper took the oath of office today and joined the National Credit Union Administration as its 23rd Board member.

“NASCUS welcomes Todd Harper as the newest NCUA Board Member,” said NASCUS President and CEO Lucy Ito. “We look forward to working with him on his focus areas of capital, cybersecurity, and liquidity. NASCUS also shares the objectives that Board Member Harper outlined, including safeguarding the safety and soundness credit unions and protecting credit union members from losses to the Share Insurance Fund.”

“We eagerly anticipate cooperating with the full, three-person NCUA Board on NCUA’s Regulatory Reform Agenda and other issues impacting the credit union system.”

The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) is the primary resource and voice of the state governmental agencies that charter, regulate and examine the nation’s state-chartered credit unions. NASCUS membership is made up of state-chartered credit unions, state regulators and other supporters of the state credit union system.
