North Carolina Credit Union Division Acting Administrator Rose Conner Accepts Appointment as Division Administrator

May 29, 2014 – Arlington, Va. Rose Conner, an active member of NASCUS who has served as acting administrator of the North Carolina Credit Union Division for the past 17 months, has been offered and has accepted the appointed position of Division administrator.

Created in 1915, the N.C. Credit Union Division’s mission as a regulatory agency is to promote and assist in the formation of credit unions and to ensure the safety and soundness of the credit unions and their compliance with applicable laws through yearly examinations and other means. It is operated under the supervision of the administrator of credit unions. The Division received its accreditation from NASCUS in 1992 and continues to maintain this status, which designates a high standard of excellence in the regulation and supervision of credit unions. The Division is funded exclusively by fees paid by regulated credit unions and receives no general fund or tax revenues.

The Division is made up of the administrator, assistant administrator, deputy administrator, examination manager, examiners, administrative officer and staff.
