Foster named NCUA Chief Information Officer

Sept. 4, 2018 -- Today, the NCUA announced that Robert Foster is being promoted to Chief Information Officer of the agency. The appointment is effective Oct. 14.

In a statement, the NCUA Board Chairman J. Mark McWatters noted that Foster’s “long experience in information technology and cybersecurity make him an ideal fit for such an essential role in the agency.”

Foster currently serves as the agency’s Deputy Chief Information Officer. Prior to coming to the NCUA, Foster served as Chief Information Officer with the Department of the Navy and as Deputy Chief Information Officer at the Department of Health and Human Services and at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
